Who We Are

London Emmanuel Church is an independent evangelical community of people from multi-ethnic background that wish to witness Christ and build His Kingdom in London.

Our prayer is that the Lord will bless you as we try to reveal what God has done for us, and how he is continuing to work through us.
In this website you will be able to find information on our services, group activities, times, directions, as well as sermons and samples of our Bible studies.

At Emmanuel Church, our congregation centres upon the word of God, and finds love and peace from messages and one another. It is the wish of Emmanuel to bring comfort to anyone who longs to come closer to God, and so no matter what your background, experience or situation, you’re welcome here.

We seek to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ, and desire to know and carry out God’s will in our lives, both now and in the future. Our church promotes prayerful, thoughtful and active congregants that are hoping to fulfil God’s purpose for them.

However, we also recognise that some visitors will simply be exploring and testing the Christian claims, while others are firm believers already. Whichever you are, we hope Emmanuel Church can satisfy your expectations.

Our services are typically filled with music, prayer and the word of God. For us, the time of praise is not simply a time of singing music, but is an opportunity God is offering to open our hearts to receive His wisdom, grace and love. You can expect to hear both the most contemporary Christian music and the classic hymns.
The time of prayer, similarly, is used as a time in which we can all, both individually as well as one church body, confess our hearts to God.

Our hope is that you can also come to experience the love and grace of God, and that as you grow in faith, can be someone who wishes to share and minister to others. Many are coming to discover the joy of serving and loving God in a community of like-minded people. This happens not only in our services on Sundays, but throughout the week in group activities, Bible studies and fellowships.

We hope that you can find what you are looking for in this site and that Emmanuel can serve you with the hope and encouragement God has for you. Through the web, however, you can’t truly meet us, so we encourage you to come and visit our church! Weather for Bible Study, Worship Service or Prayer Meeting – You are welcome!

Our Vision

“The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.”
– Isaiah 50:4

Emmanuel Bible School is dedicated to producing countless workers for the body of Christ by providing a biblically-based and doctrinally strong education, raising people to gain a profound and in-depth knowledge about all aspects of life based on Bible values.

We are the school that primarily practices Jesus’ command to “go and make disciples” in the Great Commandment by becoming disciples of Jesus Christ and training others to follow the way of Christ.

We exist to support the church in fulfilling the body of Christ (Ephesians 2:20-22) by equipping diverse people to find their gifts (1 Corinthians 12: 27-31) and contribute their life to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.

We are called to witness for Jesus Christ “…to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1: 8) EBS endeavours to develop and strengthen church planting efforts by nourishing and training people for the vision and mission of the Gospel.

Faith Statement

We believe…

in the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct…

One God , eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit…

Our Lord Jesus Christ , God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory…

The Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit…

The Holy Spirit , by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ…

The Unity of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ…

The Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

Understanding that Christ “loved the church and gave himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25), Gratia retains formal membership. We acknowledge formal membership as an important step in demonstrating our commitment to Jesus Christ.

All believers are members of the body of Christ and local church membership is the public acknowledgement of this spiritual reality. As followers of Christ, we are all “members of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:19), and it is our duty to play our roles as a member of His body. We become one healthy body when each member does its part well (1 Corinthians 12:20).

London Emmanuel Church holds its members in high regard—they are expected to proclaim and reveal the gospel in anywhere their life happens. In a multi-cultural city, God, in his sovereignty, placed us among these people with a purpose. We pray to be faithful managers of the House of God.
